THE SIOUX CITY ART CENTER has served as a cultural focus for Western Iowa and the surrounding region for more than 60 years. Founded in 1938 as a Works Progress Administration project, the art center serves people of all ages and backgrounds. The Sioux City Art Center is one of only four WPA art centers in Iowa to survive to the present without interruption.
Admission
Admission to the Art Center is free.*
The Art Center is barrier-free. Wheelchairs are available on request.
* A moderate fee may be charged for special exhibitions & events. All exhibitions are free to Sioux City Art Center members. Join!

| Beginning July 1st, 2009 the Art Center will be closing at 4:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will remain open until 9:00pm on Thursday. |
