An exclusive pre-festival event, the Friday evening exhibit opening and reception, is presented as a special thanks to sponsors, donors who have contributed at least $100 to the festival, and purchase patrons. The art exhibits will be open on August 29 from 4 to 8 pm, allowing those attending the event to have “first look” at the booths of unique artwork created by talented artisans from all over the country. Delicious appetizers and a cash bar will be available during the reception, which will begin at 5 pm in the Mildred E. Anderson Pavilion. A silent auction will feature artwork donated by the exhibiting artists and a number of other valuable items. General admission for this premier, pre-festival event will be on sale at the gate for $25 per person.
