The Permanent Collection

The Permanent Collection currently includes more than 1,000 works from Midwestern, National, and International artists, with a particular focus on artists and art related to the greater Midwest, and is a regional educational resource.

Since its beginning in 1938, the art center's collection has always included works by area artists.

The Legacy Collection

The Legacy Collection contains works by artists with significant links to the Upper Midwest. The funds for purchasing artworks are provided by the Blockbuster II Partners, donations to the Margaret Heffernan Endowment, and grants from the M. A. Martin Everist Foundation and the Unnamed Foundation.
