The Sioux City Art Center’s Education Department is dedicated to providing people of all ages with educational opportunities that encourage creative expression, develop artistic skills, and foster appreciation for the visual arts through a variety of classes, tours, and programs.

Every year, the Sioux City Art Center offers a wide variety of art classes for all ages and skill levels. Classes range from one-day workshops to comprehensive eight-week courses. Class themes, objectives, and schedules change throughout the year, so there is always something new and exciting to try. Please check back often for class and schedule updates.
To register for classes, please use the on-line Course Catalog. Art Center members receive a 20% discount on all art classes and workshops.
If you or your child would like to learn drawing, painting, sculpting, or photography, here’s an opportunity for you. Private or semi-private tutoring is available by appointment during regular Art Center hours. Open to all ages and skill levels, and no previous experience is necessary.

Want a unique birthday party? Let us help you plan an artful birthday at the Art Center. The Center provides the instructor, all art supplies, and an age appropriate hands-on activity. Cost for up to twelve children is only $100.00 for Art Center members and $125.00 for non-members, with a $3.00 charge for each additional child.

Through generous donations from individuals and businesses in the community, scholarships are available to students who normally wouldn't be able to experience an art class. To create a scholarship, please contact the Education Coordinator.
