Alcohol ink is a relatively new medium known for its vibrant colors and unpredictable mixing and movements on a slick surface. A wide variety of ink applications will be explored, then used to create beautiful two and three-dimensional work. Using Art Elements, alcohol ink will be applied to Yupo plastic paper, acetate, metal, ceramic tile, and canvas. Students may bring their own supplies, however an “Ink Box” and assorted other materials will be provided.

Originally used by hobbyists, alcohol ink is beginning to join the ranks of art mediums. Experience and learn basic techniques of this quirky, fun and colorful ink while completing three paintings on tile and yupo.
