This class will be an extensive study of useful pottery such as teapots, goblets, casseroles and planter’s. Conducted through demonstrations, discussions and structured practice, students will fine tune their wheel throwing skills and engage in exercises that will develop continuity before form and surface.
*This class is available for renewal credit through NWAEA.
*Please note: The clay studio now has a standing (waist-high) pottery wheel accessible to those with back and arthritic problems.
Tuition for all clay classes include: Use of equipment, tools, one 25 lb. new slug of pugged clay, glazes and firings. Students may purchase additional clay if needed. Any clay used in the studio must be purchased at the Gilchrist Learning Center.
