Aspects of and Reflections of Silver
Peggy Flora Zalucha
Peggy Flora Zalucha uses watercolor as her medium to explore the unexpected effects of reflections within metal objects. The reflections in the surfaces of the copper vessels allow her both to pay extra attention to the play of light in the painting and to expand the sense of space beyond the objects themselves. Instead of pure silver, she presents us with a full range of colors that highlight the details and reflections of each piece of silver.
